Hai guys! Yes I am back :giggle:
I got around to renewing my subscription today & exploring dA for a CSS template I thought would be worthy for my new journal :D Hope you all like it as much as me!

Experimentation

I've been experimenting with the program GIMP. I've always used photoshop for all my work up to now, but seen as GIMP was a free download & I've heard nothing but excellent reviews I thought I'd give it a try.
I've taken some quick shots of my new kitten Tiddles to show you guys & decided to try enhance 'em in GIMP. I figured out all the basic stuff like contrast, saturation, hue, cropping etc but I'm stuck at adding a border to my image :(
Also for people who are familiar with photoshop, the "Shadows & highlights" tool is one of my most used features - but can I find it on GIMP? No I can't :giggle: & so my experimentaion with a new photo editing application may be short lived & I may end up resorting back to photoshop :rofl: Still who knows =P

Hey guys! May I take this opportunity to wish you all a very happy new year - may 2009 be the year that all your dreams come true :)

Apologies for my lack of DAing as of late - blame world of warcraft & the fact that over xmas I have virtually been working full time.

I also noticed my subscription has run out - hence the lame looking journal entry :( Bubyyyye sexy CSS :cries:

But, yes I do intend to upload some new pics soon so watch this space :D

I have a new addition to my family now - her name is Tiddles & she's a tortise shell cat. I promise to get some pics up of her asap as I know I have many cat fanatics watching my gallery :giggle:

SO, I've lvled my main to level 77 (Lucaela - Nelf hunter) here's hoping i get to 80 soon! I also have a level 53 gnome Mage called Shaazam now too ^^
I decided horde wasn't for me as all my friends are Ally so I get a tad lonely :giggle: Therefore my son has inherited a lvl 42 undead warlock :D

Hey Guys! Hope you all had a fab new year sorry it's taken me a while to update here again!

Photography

Everything's going exceptionally well atm in my life. I had an excellent day out to Snowdonia in north Wales with my friend's =Chimera2001 & *BonitaMariposa on a photography ramble! It was cool experimenting with different shutter speeds on the river ( a finished result being [link]) & I loved the whole atmosphere of being near nature & having some gorgeous sights to treat my eyes to! :D
We have another day trip out planned to Betwsy coed which is also in north wales as we wanna go try getting some shots of the water fall - Swallow falls - there so yeah I'm really excited! :excited:

Travel

Also Watch this space for pics of poland as I'm off there at the beginning of February with again =Chimera2001, my boyfriend & a really good friend from uni. We're staying in Krakow & the architecture there looks fab! We also have a day trip planned to the infamous Auschwitz, Nazi concentration camp which i'm looking very forward to as morbid as that may sound.

Life

Fabulous news to report too - I have been contacted by my long lost family!!!! My father was in a marriage previous to being with my mum & he had two daughters whom he lost contact with. Well they've managed to track us down - how awesome!!! One of them lives in Dallas in the USA atm & the other lives in Scotland. I've found out I have like 3 nieces & a nephew who are all around the same age as me & one of my nieces also has a 2 year old (dunno what's that makes her? a great niece?!?!?!) but anyway we're all meeting up on the 25th of January & me & my dad are so excited!!!!! I'll keep you all updated on how it goes but yeah I'm so happy right now! What an excellent start to a year! :w00t:

So Proud!!!!

I just had to share this with my friends here! This is a newspaper clipping from my brother's regional paper. Read on to find out what my nephew got up to whilst my brother was running a half marathon! I almost cried when I read this I've never been so proud of my nephew!
